Overview
The 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe, a new two-door luxury sports coupe, is Cadillac's most dramatic expression of art and science. Designed to be a new focal point of Cadillac's product lineup, the CTS Coupe comes with a touch-pad door entry, rear vision camera, revised gearing, increased cornering capability and more responsive driving experience. Its key competitors are BMW 335i Coupe, Audi A5 and Infiniti G37 Coupe.
The 2012 CTS Coupe was introduced at North American International Auto Show in Detroit in 2008. It is a classic 2 2 layout coupe available in Standard, Performance Collection, Premium Collection and the V-Series. The features vary by trim level, but some of the highlights are: Bose 5.1 Surround Sound, rear-view camera, HID Xenon headlamps, and interior ambient lighting.
Power and performance
The 2012 Cadillac CTS Coupe is powered by a 3.6-liter Direct Injection V6 engine rated at 304 horsepower and 273 pound-feet of torque mated to a six-speed automatic transmission (with manual shift control) and rear-wheel drive. A manual transmission and all-wheel drive are available as options. It offers EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 mpg on the highway.
Body and styling
The CTS Coupe comes with a number of customer driven technologies including integrated iPod/MP3 capability, pop-up navigation system, adaptive forward lighting system, Bluetooth connectivity, Bose 5.1 Cabin Surround audio system, standard Keyless Access and Smart Remote Start.
The Performance Collection has HID Xenon headlamps, adaptive forward lighting, 10-way power leather seats, Bose 5.1 Surround Sound, USB integration and 40GB hard drive.
The Premium Collection comprises interior ambient lighting, rear-view camera, heated/vented front seats, heated steering wheel, wood trim and Bose 5.1 Surround Sound with navigation, sunroof.
